When your boss walks by:
18 days. I’m leaving the job and financial security I’ve had for two years (first time in my life being able to pay the bills consistently!). I’m leaving the city that I thought I was “finally gonna settle in.” I’m leaving behind what I thought I knew, some shattered illusions, and taking with me some life lessons learned the hard way.
I have no job lined up. Not sure what the new city has in store for me. But sometimes what’s safe ain’t what’s best. It ain’t about running away, so much as just knowing when it’s time to move on to the next thing.
